THE NEW BOLLYWOOD: THE INDIAN JOURNALISM

It's been ages since I wrote something. Let's begin again.

So, this lockdown we saw a lot and a lot of drama, I know you would be like, what are you talking about, we only got bored. If you did get bored then that means you are fully perfect and fine because the people who did not get bored were the people who were watching Arnab's and Navika Kumar's primetime shows in these lockdown days.

And not just Arnab and Navika, but every mainstream news channel in this country became a hub of B-grade prime time topics and C-grade debates and D-grade debates. From Arnab's famous dialogue, "Mujhe drugs do, Mujhe drugs do" to Navika's "today's legitimate question", all of us saw Indian media reached it's worst (i really don't know if this is actually their worst).

You know all of us should think about where this all started, I mean everything was just perfect and fine, the media was actually the fourth pillar of our democracy and not just a joke for us to laugh on in the evenings while sipping their tea. The way Indian media has changed its course from being news sites to gossip sites is just remarkable because the kind of determination you need to speak suck nonsense in front of 130 crore people can only be found in our "news anchors" and not journalists.

The whole lockdown I only saw Rhea Chakraborty coming out of her house and returning back to her home and the way the news anchors followed her is tremendous, just like in Bollywood movies..Bollywood fans will relate. Let me tell you I did not have any kind of information about narcotic drugs at all, and now I know them all, thanks to THE INDIAN MEDIA, for giving me such important information and not telling me about India's downfall in GDP.

Now, we have to talk about Kangana Ranaut, how can we not, I mean she talks about everything in the world, so we have to talk about her. Kangana Ranaut only tweets and makes a very fierce video when she thinks this is a chance to make a headline, just like what happened during a lockdown. I don't know how many of you remember that in the last days of august there was a massive protest against the JEE-NEET exams and around 30 lack of tweets was poured down on the government but as always, no response. But the second Kangana tweeted that she is not feeling safe (i don't know from who), she got Y+ security for no reason, and she said," Desh ki Beti ka main Rakha aapne", then what about the betis and betas of our country who were begging to postpone the exams. Anyone who is against the government is anti-nationalist, take note. Level of hypocrisy!

Anyway back to the topic, the reason for the Indian journalism degradation is indirectly us. Think about it, it's us who watch them and absorb what they provide us which actually gives them the TRP, which encourages them to make more content like this. I mean everyone knows what is going on in the country but still the so-called journalists are acting like nothing is wrong. It's like right now everyone is ignoring everything and focusing on only irrevalent topics like SSR, drugs, Bollywood mafia(I like this term, a movie can be made, Kangana will be the actress), mandir-masjid ( of course, Indian media and Indian government favorite topic), drugs gang in Bollywood, everything that is nonsense today is Indian media content tomorrow.

So, if you guys want to update on what actually we need to know, I will give you a heads up.

1.GDP growth(sorry, decline)

2.Highest unemployment.

3.Everyday-rapes

4.Hunger

5.Poverty.

......many more

So, I have a humble request from everyone out there, right-winger or left-winger or no winger, please stop watching this media, because if you want entertainment just go for some positive stuff on Netflix and amazon prime and not some toxic and hateful stuff coming out of rich and stupid people.

That's reality. We were fed up with this news. Their whole focus was on Rhea instead of serious issues like COVID-19 and falling GDP.

You wrapped it up nicely, but some topics you picked are too sensitive for a final statement. The last msg is interesting yet very controversial. I would love to see you write more on this.

I strongly disagree on whatever you said about postponing exams. I mean its obvious to understand why government did what they did. Don't you think how clumsy situation could've been had they not conducted the exams.
